Archbishop Opoko Leads Methodist Clergy to Console Don Lulu Over Mother’s Demise

The Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Raphael Chibuzo Opoko, on Wednesday led a delegation of Methodist clergy to the residence of the Chairman of Don Media Group, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), to console him and his family over the passing of his beloved mother, Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe.

Speaking during the condolence visit, Archbishop Opoko described the late Dame Peace Igbokwe as a devout Christian, a compassionate and charitable woman who lived a life dedicated to faith, service to God, and humanity. He urged the family to remain steadfast in faith and take solace in the exemplary life and enduring legacies their mother left behind.

In his response, Mayor Igbokwe expressed profound gratitude to His Grace and the entire Methodist family for their prayers, love, and solidarity during this period of mourning. He described his late mother as a pillar of strength, a virtuous woman, and a guiding light whose values would continue to shape and inspire the family.

The Archbishop’s visit, accompanied by a delegation of clergy, is one of many condolence visits received by Don Lulu from religious leaders, political figures, and well-wishers, all paying tribute to the impactful life of Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe.
