Igbokwe Welcomes Don Jazzy’s Father to Umuahia, Showcases Impressive Development Projects

Businessman and philanthropist Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, has played host to a distinguished guest at his Umuahia residence on Thursday, May 1, 2025: Chief Collins Ifeanyi Owuneme Ajere Enebeli, the esteemed father of Afrobeats icon Don Jazzy.

The visit saw Elder Enebeli, often hailed as the patriarch of the influential Mavin Records, embark on a comprehensive tour of the numerous developmental projects spearheaded by Mayor Igbokwe across Umuahia. These ambitious undertakings include the near-completion of two state-of-the-art radio stations, Ikoro 93.3 FM (Community)and Don 103.7FM (Commercial), a burgeoning gas plant currently under construction, and the envisioned site for a modern three-story service apartment complex, among other significant initiatives.

Igbokwe articulated his strategic vision behind situating these impactful projects within his home community. He emphasized his commitment to bolstering the Abia State economy and generating crucial employment opportunities for its vibrant youth. Notably, he has set an ambitious target of June 27, 2025 – his birthday – for the official commissioning of these landmark projects.

Visibly impressed by the scale and potential of the ongoing developments, Elder Enebeli lauded Igbokwe for his unwavering dedication to investing in his roots through such substantial endeavors. He offered heartfelt prayers for his continued success and expressed strong confidence in his ability to meet the self-imposed completion deadline.

Accompanying Elder Enebeli on this significant visit was his son, the talented General Jay Mavin, further underscoring the close ties and mutual respect between the two prominent families.
