Ramadan: Senator Natasha Akpoti Distributes Grains to Her Constituents
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing the Kogi Central senatorial district, has distributed grains to her constituents to help ease their food expenses during the Ramadan season.
The distribution included 1,200 bags of beans and 1,200 bags of millet, provided to the people of Kogi Central regardless of their political affiliation.
During the distribution event at her residence in the Okehi local government area, former House of Representatives member Hon. Abdulrahman Badamasiu mentioned that the initiative was initially delayed due to recent distractions.
Badamasiu noted that the distribution encompasses all 57 wards within the district and is intended for religious organizations, market women, community forums, and party supporters.
He encouraged constituents to pray for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, especially during the last ten days of Ramadan. He emphasized that the Senator’s suspension does not diminish her mandate as a duly elected representative of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, adding that she has made significant contributions and achieved remarkable results within just one year in office.
He also assured that the lawmaker will continue her empowerment programs, which aim to train constituents so they can become self-employed.
“In the coming week, a select number of constituents will undergo training in various skills and will be empowered as part of Senator Natasha’s vision to create employment opportunities for her community,” he said.
