*FCC COMMISSIONER ENDORSES GOV OTTI FOR SECOND TERM, DECLARES “NO VACANCY” AND RALLIES NDI-IKWUANO/UMUAHIA FOR 2027*
In a powerful convergence of conviction, gratitude, and political clarity, the *Federal Character Commissioner representing Abia State, High Chief Victor Ikeji,* has reaffirmed his unwavering endorsement of the *Executive Governor of Abia State, Alex Chioma Otti* , for a second term; declaring unequivocally that *“there is no vacancy”* in the Abia governorship seat.
Speaking at the grand civic reception organized by the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the Umuahia Township Stadium on April 10, 2026, *Dr. Ikeji* aligned his voice with that of respected *cleric Archbishop Raphael Opoko,* who had earlier urged the Governor to remain focused and undistracted by opposition rhetoric.
With a tone both personal and philosophical, *Dr. Ikeji* expressed deep pride in associating with *Governor Otti,* noting that his performance across critical sectors; ranging from infrastructure to healthcare, education, and social welfare, has earned him national acknowledgment and admiration.
_“The Governor has done exceedingly well across sectors, and Nigerians generally attest to this. I am proud; deeply proud, to identify with him and his superlative achievements,”_ *he declared.*
In a rare moment of political candour, *Dr. Ikeji* went further to define his relationship with the Governor in unequivocal terms:
_“I am one of his apostles, his lieutenant, his protégé, and his adherent.”_
He emphasized that such loyalty is not borne out of blind allegiance, but from a rational conviction rooted in performance, vision, and results-driven leadership.
According to him, Governor Otti has fundamentally altered the governance equation in Abia, transitioning it from a culture of promises to a regime of measurable outcomes.
Drawing from the philosophical tradition, he echoed the Aristotelian idea that excellence is a habit, not an accident, stressing that the administration has institutionalized a governance culture anchored on competence, transparency, and accountability.
Dr. Ikeji further highlighted visible milestones such as the aggressive urban renewal, massive road infrastructure, healthcare revitalization as evidence of a government committed to rebuilding both systems and confidence.
In a thought-provoking conclusion, he invoked the words of former *U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt:*
_“Anyone who says he has no time for politics is simply saying he is unfit to live in a civil society. Every man must find time for politics ”_
Using this as a rallying call, Dr. Ikeji charged Ndi Abia to rise to their civic responsibility, emphasizing that political participation is the vehicle through which destiny is shaped and sustained.
_“It was through politics that Dr. Alex Otti came into power to initiate this rescue mission and unleash unprecedented infrastructural development. The same politics must now be consciously deployed by Ndi Abia to sustain and consolidate these gains in 2027.”_
He urged the people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South to move beyond passive admiration to active engagement, insisting that the ballot remains the most potent instrument of continuity.
_“The future is not preserved by hope alone; it is secured by deliberate action. If we value what we see today, then we must vote to protect it tomorrow.”_
Dr. Ikeji further stated that Dr. Alex Otti is the most talked about Governor in the country and the model of good governance, making Abia the admiration of all.
The civic reception, which drew a broad spectrum of stakeholders cutting across political affiliations, traditional institutions, and professional bodies, ultimately transformed into a resounding endorsement rally; signaling a growing consensus that the Otti administration represents not just a phase, but a defining trajectory for Abia State.
In the final analysis, *the message was unmistakable: performance has earned legitimacy, legitimacy demands continuity, and continuity must be secured through conscious political participation.*

They cited the transformative leadership the state has witnessed under his administration as the basis for their endorsement.
