High Chief Eze Ukelonu Honoured with Royal Gold of Honour Award by Ndi Eze Ohuhu.
During the Iwaji Ohuhu,2025 (New Yam Festival ) held at the Afugiri Central School Field, Afugiri, Ohuhu, in Umuahia North L.G.A., Abia State, on Thursday, 4th September 2025, the Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers conferred the prestigious Royal Gold of Honour Award, on High Chief Eze Ukelonu, Oke Oshimiri Ohuhu, for his Outstanding Leadership and contributions to the Ohuhu Clan.
Though unable to attend the event due to health reasons, High Chief Eze Ukelonu, the CEO of Cheza Investments Ltd., who served as Secretary -General of Ohuhu Welfare Union from 2019- 2022 was represented by his second son, Nnaoma Chidiebube Ukelonu, who graciously received the award on his behalf.
The award was presented by H.R.M. Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, speaking on behalf of Ndi Eze Ohuhu, who commended High Chief Eze Ukelonu for his relentless efforts in supporting the community. According to the Monarch, the ceremony would not have been possible without the substantial fundraising initiatives and leadership demonstrated by High Chief Eze Ukelonu over the years.
The Royal Gold of Honour Award is a testament to High Chief Eze Ukelonu’s dedication to the development and welfare of Ndi-Ohuhu, highlighting his commitment to traditional leadership, philanthropy, and community service.
In a brief statement after receiving the award, Nnaoma Chidiebube Ukelonu expressed gratitude on behalf of his father and reaffirmed the family’s commitment to continuing their support for the Ohuhu community.
