DON NORMAN, 10 OTHERS EXPELLED AS ADC CONVENTION RATIFIES DISCIPLINARY ACTION
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the expulsion of embattled Abia State party chairman Mr. Don Norman Obinna (Agu-Ibeku) and 10 others following resolutions reached at its National Convention held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Rainbow Event Centre, Garki, Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the party, the decision was taken after delegates considered and adopted a motion on the discipline of erring members, in line with the party’s constitution and disciplinary framework.
Other affected individuals include Hon. Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Mr. Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Mr. Kennedy Odion, Mr. Clement Ehigiator, Mrs. Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.
The resolution was ratified under the leadership of the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, GCON, at the convention.
With the development, the party stated that the affected individuals cease to be members of the ADC with immediate effect and are free to join other political platforms if they so wish. It also noted that other political parties are at liberty to receive them.
Reaffirming its position, the ADC emphasized its commitment to internal democracy, discipline, and the rule of law, adding that it will continue to strengthen its structures as a credible political alternative in Nigeria.
