Hon. Akaliro Calls on Constituents to Register with Labour Party as He Hosts Stakeholders

The Honourable Member representing Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Anderson Kelechi Akaliro, has called on his constituents to take advantage of the ongoing party registration exercise by joining the Labour Party.

Hon. Akaliro made the call while hosting key stakeholders from the five wards that make up the constituency — Umuhu, Afugiri, Nkwoachara, Nkwoegwu, and Isingwu.

Speaking during the well-attended stakeholders’ meeting held at his constituency office, the lawmaker emphasized the need for grassroots political participation and urged the stakeholders to return to their respective wards to mobilize residents to register with the Labour Party.

According to him, strengthening the party at the grassroots level is crucial for effective representation, political inclusiveness, and the continued advancement of development initiatives within the constituency.

The meeting had in attendance several notable political stakeholders, including the councillors from the five wards, Ward Chairmen and coordinators of Abia Arise, Hon. Magdalene Ugoanusi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Hon. Ekejiuba Ekpo, General Manager of the Abia Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA); Barr. Johnson Kanu; Barr. Chuks Akamadu; Chief Emeka Utah; Chief Chukwudi Amaechi (Ikenkeenyi), among others.

The stakeholders commended Hon. Akaliro for convening the meeting and reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing support for the Labour Party across the constituency.
