Umuawa-Alaocha Gets New Leadership as Hon. Chimex Nelcinn Uluocha Emerges President-General
The Chief Executive Officer of CNAFF Global Resources and Proprietor of Nelcinn Group of Schools, Hon. Chimex Nelcinn Uluocha from Ogwara Na Nkaru Bloc has been elected and sworn in as the new President-General of the Umuawa-Alaocha Federated Union (UFU).
His emergence followed the formal dissolution of the executive council led by Mr. Chinenye Uwadi (Obonsu), whose tenure elapsed on Friday, December 26, 2025.
The election took place during a well-attended general conference that had in attendance the Traditional Ruler of Ogwara na Nkaru Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Ezechukwu Ogbonna; the Traditional Ruler of Awa Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Godswill Asumogha; the Traditional Prime Minister/Regent of Umuyota Autonomous Community, High-Chief Engr. Jonathan Ogbonna; High-Chief Maduabuchi Nwoha; Chief Nwachi Ogbonna; and Elder Obi Ibegbu who are President -Generals of Ogwara Na Nkaru, Umuyota and Umuezerola, the three blocs that makes-up Umuawa -Alaocha.
At the conference, traditional rulers, the bloc Presidents-Generals and those attended collectively dissolved the outgoing executive and appointed a seasoned administrator and retired Permanent Secretary, High-Chief Okechukwu Ihedioha, as Returning Officer to conduct the elections.

Uchechukwu Mbagwu – Secretary-General (Umuezerola Bloc)
Samuel Agbugba – Assistant Secretary-General (Ogwara na Nkaru Bloc)
Glory Anyiam – Financial Secretary (Umuezerola Bloc)
Elder Nwanneakolam Ikpo – Treasurer (Umuyota Bloc)
Ndubuisi Ikwunze – Provost I (Ogwara na Nkaru Bloc)
Lucky Onyema – Provost II (Umuyota Bloc)
Luke Nwoke – Provost III (Umuezerola Bloc).
The newly elected officials were sworn in by the Inter-Branches Coordinator,of Umuawa-Alaocha Federated Union, Elder Friday Egeonu.
With the inauguration of the new leadership, many stakeholders say the process marks the beginning of a new chapter in the governance and development of Umuawa-Alaocha.
Hon. Uluocha is expected to work closely with community leaders, elders, and blocs to further strengthen unity and progress within the community.
