BREAKING: Terrorists Invade Catholic School in Niger State, Abduct Students and Staff
Terror struck the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area in Niger State in the early hours of Today Friday, 21 November 2025, as armed terrorists invaded St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution, and abducted an unconfirmed number of students and staff.
The attackers reportedly stormed the school between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., catching the community off guard and forcing several victims away into the nearby bush.
The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer has confirmed the attack, noting that security operatives have been deployed to the area as efforts intensify to determine the exact number of abductees and track the criminals. Authorities have urged residents to remain calm as military and police units begin search-and-rescue operations across the Agwara axis, while the state government is expected to issue a fuller briefing as details continue to unfold.
