BREAKING: CDFIB Temporarily Suspends Recruitment Portal, Sets New Reopening Date

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the temporary suspension of its recruitment application portal to optimize system efficiency.

In a public statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (rtd), the CDCFIB disclosed that the recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — used for enlisting candidates into the nation’s paramilitary agencies, has been put on hold until Monday, July 21, 2025.

According to the board, the suspension is necessary to ensure that the platform accommodates the high volume of applications effectively and maintains a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the statement read.

The CDCFIB reassured applicants and the general public that the move is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and fostering trust in the ongoing recruitment exercise.

The announcement comes amidst a surge in interest from Nigerian youths eager to join the paramilitary services under the Ministry of Interior, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Fire Service (NFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).
