Tinubu Visits Anambra; Commissions New Projects
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has commissioned the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy. This project honours the significant contributions of Chief Emeka Anyaoku, a former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, in the areas of peace and diplomacy.
During the commissioning ceremony, President Tinubu praised Chief Anyaoku for his contributions to national democracy, unity, and progress, describing him as a distinguished Nigerian.
Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, expressed the university community’s enthusiasm for the establishment of the world-class institute on campus. He assured that the institute will operate smoothly to fulfil its primary objective of instilling globally accepted principles of peace and conflict resolution in its students.
The Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy will offer degree and certificate programs in International Relations, Diplomacy, and Peace and Conflict Resolution.
