Abia Governor’s Aide on Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Hon. Ugoanusi, Continues Campaign on Changing the Leadership Narrative at the Grassroots; As Tour Hits Umuahia South
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Magdalene Egondu Ugoanusi has continued her sensitization tour aimed at ensuring that grassroots communities align with the transformative leadership of Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.
The sensitization with the theme “Changing the Narrative at the Local Government Area For Good Governance” Today, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, was held today at Umuahia South Local Government Area.
During the event which was well attended, Hon. Ugoanusi emphasized the importance of grassroots understanding and support for policies and programs of the new Abia government led by Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.
She stated that for these initiatives to be effective, those at the grassroots must comprehend aund engage with them.
“The purpose of the sensitization tour is to raise awareness and inform grassroots communities about the vision of the new Abia government under the leadership of Governor Dr. Alex Otti, OFR”.
Hon. Ugoanusi noted that by understanding the government’s policy direction, the grassroots can readjust and align themselves with the new vision for Abia.
The Special Guest of Honor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the governor’s wife, praised Hon. Ugoanusi for organizing a timely program that helps the grassroots understand the government’s intentions. She reaffirmed her husband’s commitment to fulfilling the trust that the people of Abia placed in him by delivering projects and enacting policies that will positively transform the state and improve the living conditions of its citizens.
The host mayor, Hon. Chinedu Enwereuzo, expressed gratitude to Hon. Ugoanusi for the event. He assured the audience that Umuahia South, under his leadership, will continue to align with the vision of the governor.
Hon. Enwereuzo also stated that he would collaborate with the state government to ensure that the developmental initiatives of the governor reach the grassroots communities.
