The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has distanced himself from the position taken by the South-South Governors regarding President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
While he acknowledges that other governors in the South-South geopolitical zone have the right to express their opinions, Governor Okpebholo does not support any statements opposing the state of emergency in Rivers State.
He has expressed his full support for the decisions made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he believes will lead to lasting solutions and peace in both Rivers State and the broader South-South geopolitical zone.
