Mayor Igbokwe Bags Community Development Award; As Umuamuanu Ohuhu Holds Homing Coming Day
Abia born businessman, philanthropist, politician and United Nation’s Ambassador of Peace, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe has been conferred with award of “Nwanne Eji Aga Mba” by the Umuamuamu Ohuhu.
The United Nation’s Peace envoy was conferred with the award today, Saturday 28th December, 2024 at Williams Memorial Secondary School, Afugiri, Ohuhu, the venue for the home coming of Umuamuanu Ohuhu.
The Association under the leadership of Lady Blessing Ukelonu while giving him the award posited that, Mayor Igbokwe was signalled out for the award due to his positive contributions to the development of Ohuhuland and it’s people both at home and in diaspora.
They urged him not to cease in his effort to ensure a better Ohuhu that works for all.
Mayor Igbokwe while receiving award with his wife , thanked Umuamuanu Ohuhu for finding him worthy of such honour.


He stated that ” although he has received several awards in Ohuhuland, but this one is very significant, coming from Ohuhu indigenous daughters”.
He assured them of his continuous support and contributions to the overall development of Ohuhuland, Abia and society at large.
The Umuamuanu Ohuhu is an association of indigenous daughters of Ohuhu, both married and single.
