ABSOA Calls on Abia Youths to Take Advantage of Ongoing Nigerian Military Recruitments; Shun Intake of Illicit Drugs
The Abia State Orientation Agency (ABSOA), under the leadership of Ms. Ure Abazie, has called on eligible youths of Abia State between the age of 18 to 24 to take advantage of ongoing recruitments in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Ms. Abazie while sensitizing the youths of the state on why they should join the military, posited that our people are fond of complaining when people from other ethnic nationalities or states are appointed to head the various military formations in the country. She stated that the trend will likely continue if our people don’t show interest to be recruited and grow through the ranks.
She also advised Abia youths to desist from the intake of illicit drugs and spoiling their bodies with tattoos due to secret cult initiation etc and gain meaningful employment in the Army, Navy or the Airforce.
The ABSOA Director-General also reminded the youths of Abia that the 3 arms of the Armed Forces are currently recruiting. She urged those eligible and interested to use this link https://joinnigeriannavy.com/ Army, Navy, Airforce in any business centre to apply free of charge before the 20th December 2024 deadline.
Ms. Abazie also assured those who applied or intend to apply, the support of the Abia State government under the leadership of Dr. Alex Otti OFR.
She added that, the government will spare nothing to ensure that, the state gets its fair share in the federation’s recruitment quota.
