…… As Ohuhu Unity League is Set to Kick Off
H.E Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) today Thursday 22nd November, 2024 formally Handed-Over the jerseys and other sport wears to the 10 teams participating in the Ohuhu league which is been sponsored by his foundation ” Don Lulu Foundation”.
Mayor Igbokwe while handing over the sport wears to the teams at his Umuawa -Alaocha country home called on the various team to play to the rules of the game.
He admonished them to shun any form of violence and compete friendly like brothers. He reminded them that the essence of the competition is to unite Ohuhu through sports.
He also assured them that scouts will be available to spot footballing talents who will be picked to play professional football.
The Ohuhu Welfare Union, President -General, Hon. Uchenna Gavin Iheanacho thanked the United Nations Ambassador of Peace for solely sponsoring the competition.
He assured him , that the game will be highly competitive and peaceful.
The Ohuhu Unity League will formally kick-off on Saturday 23rd November, 2024 with Afugiri taking on Ikenga block at the Umuawa -Alaocha Central School Field by 3:30pm.
While the opening ceremony for the league will commence earlier by 12:00pm
The participating blocks for the competition includes; Nkwoachara, Ikenga, Ohiya, Ofeme.
Others are Umuhu-Etiti, Oriendu,Ohiya Isingwu and Nkwoegwu.
