Confectionary Trainees Appreciates Mayor Ikeji; Calls on Successor to Emulate His Giant Strides
The cake and baking trainees of the second batch of skill acquisition program initiated by the immediate past Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji, Ph.D (Kpakpando-Umuahia), has expressed their gratitude to the immediate past Umuahia North Council boss.
The trainees expressed their gratitude at their training centre in Nkwoegwu, Ohuhu, Umuahia, on Tuesday 12th November, 2024.
They thanked the immediate past Mayor for his exemplary leadership of prioritizing human capital development during his tenure.
The trainees adduced that, most of them are looking into the future with optimism, as they acquire self-sustaining skills that can help them cater for themselves and families.
They further stated that leaders like Chief Ikeji have proven that public office is truly for service and not for personal aggrandisement, as he has shown to understand the needs of the people and also selfless in the discharge of his duties.
They appreciated the former Mayor for paying for their training in full to ensure the program continued even after he had left office.
They called on his successor to emulate the giant strides of Chief Ikeji in terms of human capacity development within the council.
