The Eze in waiting of Umuyota, as a proud son of Awaland from his youthful days is a known financier and promoter of the culture of his people.
Like the popular adage” a woman never gets old in a dance style she is familiar with”. The 2024 Iri-ji Awa has once again led credence to the fact that, the people of Umuyota who uniamiously choose him to lead them as their Eze made the right choice .
The Funfare, organization ,quality of guests, merriment and mammoth crowd that graced the event is a testament of the capability and capacity of the man “Sakwe”.
When the hope of the people of Awaland was waning as regards to this year’s Iriji, he stepped in, raised a team that delivered within a short notice, a carnival when the people asked for a mere festival.
