Abia @32: Abians Must Rebuild Together, Says Mayor Igbokwe
Abia businessman, politician, and philanthropist, H.E. Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has called on all Abians to unite and rebuild the state, which is celebrating its 32nd anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Mayor Igbokwe described Abians as “very industrious people” who are “doing excellently in various spheres of human endeavor.” However, he expressed disappointment that the state is still backward in terms of development.
“We must all come together and work hard to rebuild Abia,” Mayor Igbokwe said. “We need to create a system that allows everyone to contribute their talents and resources to the state’s development.”
He urged the government under the leadership of Dr. Alex Otti to unveil a developmental roadmap for the state and to create a system that allows Abians of goodwill to contribute their quota to the state’s development.
Mayor Igbokwe’s call for unity and development is timely, as Abia State faces a number of challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and infrastructure decay. By working together, Abians can overcome these challenges and build a better future for themselves and their children.
