OHUHU FORMER COUNCILLORS ASSOCIATION CONDEMN THE ALLEGED MURDER OF IZUCHUKWU MBAKWE BY MANAGEMENT OF DE-CHOICE IN COLLABORATION WITH OFFICER OF ABIA VIGILANTE SERVICE,CALLS FOR JUSTICE
The association of former councillors in Ohuhu, Umuahia North has condemned the alleged murder of a 27 years old promising Ohuhu son Izuchukwu Mbakwe from Umuosu, Nkwoegwu by the management and staff of De-Choice, Okpara Square Umuahia branch in collaboration with an officer of Abia State Vigilante Service.
In a press release signed by the immediate past councillors of the eight Abia State Independent Electoral Commission ( ABSIEC) wards which includes;
Hon. Nwabueze Onuigbo , Umuhu Ward
Hon. Ugochukwu Enyinnaya ,Afugiri Ward 1
Hon. Barr. Friday Nwokeocha, Nkwoegwu Ward
Hon Ayoka Johnson Chibueze, Isingwu Ward
Hon. Apugo Victor , Nkwoachara Ward.
Hon. Uzukwu Okechukwu, Okaigua-Alike Ward.
Hon. Iroagba Izuchukwu,Oriendu Ward.
The former councillors wondered why a promising young man will be killed over an ordinary phone on the instruction of the branch manger of De-Choice without proper investigation, they queried if sniffing life out of the young man is the payment of the 5 months salary arrears the restaurant is owing the deceased.
The association, through the press release called on the Police and other security agencies,the State government to ensure that this matter in not swept under the carpet but justice should be seen to be done.
The ex- councillors also commiserated with the family of the deceases and the entire people of Ohuhu who has been thrown into mourning due to this inhumane act.
