At the 2024 Umuawa Alaocha New Yam Festival, Hon. Mrs. Magdalene Ugoanusi, Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, was honored with the prestigious award of Aguwanyi I of Umuawa Alaocha Ancient Kingdom. The event, held at the Afor Umuawa community square in Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA, celebrated her contributions to the development of the local community.<\/p>\n
Ugoanusi, who has defied gender norms in her role typically reserved for men, was recognized for her commitment to public service, human welfare, and community development.
