Mayor Ikeji Pledges #50 Million For the Reconstruction of Okaiuga-Nkwoegwu Market<\/p>\n

Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji Ph.D (Kpakpando-Umuahia), the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, has pledged to dedicate the sum of N50,000,000 (fifty million naira) for the reconstruction of Okaiuga-Nkwoegwu Market.<\/p>\n

The Mayor made the promise during this year’s Okaiuga-Nkwoegwu New Yam Festival held at the Okaiuga -Nkwoegwu Central School.<\/p>\n

The Mayor, in his speech, stated that he is part and parcel of the Nkwoegwu community, sharing special relationships with the people by blood and political affiliation.<\/p>\n

He called on the people of Nkwoegwu to unite for development. He cautioned all those trying to sow the seed of discords amongst brothers to desist from such.<\/p>\n

On the market project, which he promised to renovate, he called on the leadership of Okaiuga–Nkwoegwu to come up with a proposal on how the market could be remodelled to serve the people of Ohuhu better.<\/p>\n

Also present during the Okaiuga-Nkwoegwu Iri-ji ceremony includes; HRH Eze Nzewata Mbakwe, HRH Eze Benson Akazubuike, HRH Eze Paul Uzuegbu.<\/p>\n

The SSA to the governor on Ease of Doing Business, Hon. Barr. Agbonma Jenifer Ukabasi, who is an indegine of Nkwoegwu and the Acting Director – General of Abia Orientation Agency, Hon. Urema Agbaze was present<\/p>\n
